Normal quantile plot with reference plots |
- DESCRIPTION
- Produces a normal quantile plot with surrounding plots of
pseudo-normal random numbers for reference.
-
- USAGE
- nineplot(x)
-
- REQUIRED ARGUMENTS
- x - a numeric vector
-
- DETAILS
- It is difficult to calibrate stand-alone normal quantile
plots without a great deal of experience. In this plot,
the normal quantile plot for the sample in question is
positioned in the middle of the plot, with eight randomly
generated plots for reference. If the sample appears the
least normal of the nine plots, then it is non-normal
with P-value about 0.11.
The nineplot follows an idea
of Peter Lewis and Bill Kemple.
- EXAMPLES
- x <- rt(20,4)
nineplot(x)
