Gordon K Smyth

Head of the Bioinformatics Division at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI) and Professorial Fellow in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Melbourne.

My vision is to develop advanced statistical and computational methods for the analysis of omics data, to develop and maintain high quality public software, to promote the use of bioinformatics and omics data across the WEHI, and to collaborate with wet lab scientists to improve our understanding of cancer, immunological disorders and infectious diseases.
